G-Mary’s Brownies
INGREDIENTS:
1 stick butter
1 Cup sugar
1 1/2 squares of unsweetened chocolate (Bakers)
3/4 cups of flour sifted
1/4 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
Optional—chocolate chips and or nuts
Preheat oven to 325. Butter and flour square pan.
Melt on low heat, 1 stick of butter, 1 cup of sugar and 1 1/2 squares of unsweetened chocolate (Bakers). Stir.
When above melted, add 3/4 cup of flour sifted with 1/4 tsp baking powder and a pinch of salt. Mix well, then add 2 beaten eggs and 1 tsp vanilla (Option—-some chocolate chips and/or nuts) When mixed, pour into baking dish and cook about 20 minutes (check with sharp knife or toothpick—better undercooked than dry so can be a little gooey when tested as it will continue to cook once out of the oven).
Cut into squares while hot and ENJOY!!!
